Black tea infused with spices, inspired by the Indian continent. Not only do the spices added to this tea make for an interesting brew, they also add additional health benefits. So it tastes good and does you good. When the British introduced tea to India it was not popular with the local population as a drink. However, the idea of a tea break was so enticing that the workers found a way to make the beverage their own. Often the tea, spices and milk were all added to a pan and left for long periods to infuse. You can see it in our store here
A warming and soothing black tea blend. Malabar Coast spices and Creamy Madagascar vanilla notes mingle with a lively ginger finish accentuated by cardamom. This Black tea is wholesome and warming, a real indulgence in a cup. As a serving suggestion a drop of milk brings out the vanilla creaminess, you could also try making up a chai latte. Hot tea brewing method
Place 1 to 2 teaspoons of Chai Spiced tea per cup (and add 1 teaspoon for the pot) into the teapot. Pour boiling water into the pot and let it steep for 5-7 minutes. Pour into your cup, add milk or sugar to taste. This can also be made into a chai latte by adding steamed or frothed warm milk to a strong short brew.
Cold tea brewing method
Make as for hot, but add extra tea – when the tea has cooled a little pour over ice. It is important to make it a little stronger as the ice will water it down.
Alternatively, you can place the tea in a jug and add cold water. Leave to infuse for a few hours (or overnight in the fridge) strain and enjoy. Cold brewing will give a smoother taste. You can add milk or sugar to this even coconut milk for a real treat
