English Hedgerow Black Tea

Cup Characteristics: Rich and red with a fruit and flower character.
Infusion: Red-brown.
Ingredients: Black tea (66 %), apple pieces, juniper berries, elderberries, flavouring, freeze-dried strawberry slices, freeze-dried whole blackberries, crimson rose petals, elderberry blossoms.
Caffeine Content: Caffeinated.
 

A wonderfully rich black tea with luxury fruit and flower flavours.

Black tea layered with real fruit and flower ingredients to give a wonderful natural flavour. This tea contains all the seasonal elements of the quintessential English countryside hedgerow.

If you were to take a walk in the British countryside during the different seasons, you would be able to forage for all the flavours in this blend. We have taken these natural fruits and flowers and added them to a great quality black tea base. The balance between fruit, flower and black tea is perfect to be able to taste and appreciate all three in harmony. 

Hot Tea Brewing Method

Place 1 to 2 teaspoons of English Hedgerow tea per cup (and add 1 teaspoon for the pot) into the teapot. For a more intense flavour, add a bit more tea. Pour boiling water into the pot and let it steep for 5-7 minutes, to your taste. Pour into your cup, add milk or sugar to taste.
 

Iced Tea Brewing Method

Make as for hot, but add extra tea - a rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced tea is to double the amount of tea used per cup. When the tea has cooled a little pour over ice. It is important to make it a little stronger as the ice will water it down. 
Alternatively, you can cold brew the tea by placing the tea leaves in a jug and adding cold water. Leave to infuse for a few hours (or overnight in the fridge) strain and enjoy. Cold brewing will give a smoother taste.
