The mug can be used with or without the infuser but an infuser is extremely useful for any loose leaf tea and really comes into it's own when serving green, white or oolong tea. These teas can all be re-infused 3 to 4 times each so remove the infuser when your tea has reached the required strength and your leaves are there ready to infuse again and again with little fuss or effort.
