Sencha Wild CherryGreen Tea with Natural Flavours
Country of Origin: China /Ceylon.
Grade: True Japanese Sencha.
Altitude: about 2500 feet above sea level.
Infusion: Pale yellow-green.
Cup Characteristics: The tea tends light liquoring, fresh and smooth with reasonable depth and body. The cherry pieces and flavouring along with the subtle mellow Sencha base give the tea a wonderfully exotic character.
Ingredients: Luxury green Sencha tea, sour cherry pieces, natural flavours.
Hot Tea Brewing Method
Heat water to 180°F or 80°C. Place 1 teaspoon of green tea per cup into your teapot, and add 1 for the pot (for a more intense flavour, add a bit more tea). Pour the water into the pot and let it steep for about 3 minutes. Pour into your cup and enjoy.
Alternatively, put the tea in a tea infuser and brew right in your cup. When preparing by the cup, this tea can be used repeatedly - about 3 times.
Some like to brew this straight in the cup without an infuser, but be careful not to drink the leaves at the bottom of your cup. The pattern of the leaves is said to tell your fortune.
Milk not recommended for green tea.
Iced Tea Brewing Method
Make as for hot, but add extra tea - a general rule of thumb is to double the amount used. When the tea has cooled a little, pour over ice. It is important to make it a little stronger as the ice will water it down.
Alternatively, you can place the tea in a jug and add cold water. Leave to infuse for a few hours (or overnight in the fridge) strain and enjoy. Cold brewing will give a smoother taste.
Beautifully light and tasty Sencha green tea with exactly the right amount of cherry flavour.
