Bedtime Brew
With Valerian Root & Chamomile
Brewing: 1-2 tsp per cup ~ 100°C ~ 5-10 min

The perfect herbal tea for a deep and relaxing slumber.
Whole, natural ingredients, picked to help with sleep and relaxation.
Sleepy dreams Simpli never tasted so good!

Add this brew to your bedtime routine for a better chance at a good night's sleep. Chamomile and valerian root have both been extensively studied and have reached a gold standard of evidence for helping people get to sleep, and stay asleep. The trick is to make them taste so good that you want to drink it! By adding a touch of mint and lemongrass, we have created a brew that is light and soothing, both these ingredients also have some evidence that they promote a great night's sleep.

Modern life, health issues and common stressors can all stop us getting a good night's rest, but we know that good, resful sleep is essential if we are going to have a good day ahead. We recommend drinking 1-2 cups of this tea 30 - 45 min before you would like to be asleep. If you add in other healthy bedtime habits like listening to soothing stories or music, reading a book or even just putting away the phone, you may find your bedtime changed forever.

Our bedtime brew is a blend of valerian root, chamomile, mint, lemongrass, rosehip, hibiscus, and cornflower petals. This mix promotes relaxation and deep sleep. Valerian root is often referred to as "nature's Valium" and has been used since the Middle Ages to treat sleep disorders like insomnia, while chamomile has sedative effects that may be due to the flavonoid apigenin binding to benzodiazepine receptors in the brain. Mint and lemongrass can help relax muscles and soothe the digestive system, while rosehip helps stabilize blood sugar and has anti-inflammatory properties. Hibiscus has anxiolytic and sedative properties that reduce stress and anxiety, and cornflower petals add a touch of visual appeal.

These teas are so beautiful. Smells are warming and after my first sip I feel like I am being cuddled and am warm and relaxed. I just love all the fruit teas i have tried so far....
