Rooibos, also called Red Bush, is a herbal tea from South Africa. Naturally caffeine-free and low in tannins this tea is known for its rich, nutty flavour with notes of vanilla.

Earl Grey is known the world over as a refreshing and sophisticated afternoon treat. The instantly recognisable Earl Grey flavour comes from the oils of the bergamot citrus fruit. Traditionally this is used to delicately scent strong, astringent black teas, producing an exceptionally crisp and clean cuppa. This blend, however, pairs the fresh bergamot notes with the naturally sweet and earthy tones of Rooibos.
Pronounced “roy-boss”, this herbal tea is proudly produced in South Africa and is renowned for its deep red colour, smooth taste and abundance of antioxidants. A truly comforting tea with nutty, vanilla overtones and brimming with goodness.
An unorthodox combination, for sure, but perhaps not as far removed as you may think. In an interesting turn of fate, the rooibos for this particular blend has been grown in a town called Howick, named after Howick Hall, the ancestral seat of the Earls Grey. This was to honour Henry George Grey, the 3rd Earl of Grey, also known as British Colonial Secretary Viscount Howick. Son of Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl Grey after whom the tea is named. A very fitting coincidence, bringing a small touch of authenticity to this wonderful twist on a classic.
