Shou Mei leaves are plucked from a special varietal tea bush called Narcissus or chaicha bushes and the leaves are allowed to dry naturally in the sun. If any mechanical drying is required it is a baking process at temperatures less that 40’C. Only special two leaves and a bud are selected.
White teas have extremely high levels of anti-oxidants in comparison with most other teas so are good for your health. Do not be misled by the mildness of your tea, it still has comparatively high levels of caffeine and tannin.
Shou Mei Can be drunk at any time of the day.
Hot Tea brewing method
Bringfresh cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 teaspoon for each cup into the pot. Allow the water to cool (approx 180F or 90C) cover and allow to steep for 3 to 4 minutes - Do not remove the leaves from the pot because they can be used repeatedly until the flavour of the tea is exhausted. This makes green and white teas much cheaper per cup than it would seem.
Green and white teas are normally served withoutmilk and sugar.
We do not sell cheap tea, we sell excellent tea !!
